1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all deliveries by Robert Rieffel AG to consumers.

3. Offer and conclusion of contract

The presentation of the products in the online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but an invitation to order. All offers are valid “while stocks last” unless stated otherwise for the products. Errors excepted. By clicking the “Place order” button in the last step of the ordering process, you place a binding order for the goods in the shopping cart. The purchase contract is only concluded by delivery of the ordered goods or by an identical order confirmation from Robert Rieffel AG.

4. Contract text

The contract text is stored on our internal systems. The order data will be sent to you by email. After the order has been completed, the contract text is no longer accessible via the internet for security reasons.

5. Prices and shipping costs

All prices are in CHF. The sales prices are recommended indicative prices including 8.1% VAT. We reserve the right to change the prices of individual items at any time.

6. Invoicing surcharge

For orders under CHF 50.00 net we charge an invoicing surcharge of CHF 5.00.

7. Delivery terms

Free delivery (franco) applies as follows:

§ DPD and postal shipments (1 parcel) from CHF 300.00 net

§ Truck from CHF 600.00 net

For a net goods value of less than CHF 300.00 we charge freight and packaging costs according to actual effort.

Please understand that for a net goods value of less than CHF 300.00 we cannot determine the freight and packaging costs in advance, as these can vary greatly depending on the type and quantity of the goods ordered or the composition of your order.

Safes of 30 kg or more are delivered by truck free to the kerb, without positioning.

The positioning of safes is charged according to effort and is only possible by prior arrangement.

If no Euro exchange pallets are available, these will be charged at CHF 30.00.

We reserve the right to ship key cabinets by post or truck in order to avoid damage.

8. Delivery

Delivery is only made within Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. The delivery time for items we have in stock is generally 1–2 working days. Robert Rieffel AG cannot guarantee the timely arrival of your delivery.

9. Complaints (liability for defects)

The duties of examination and notification of defects under Art. 201 et seq. of the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) apply; you must notify us of recognisable defects within 3 days of delivery and of non-recognisable defects within 3 days of their discovery.

10. Transport and liability for transport

Upon handover of the goods you have ordered to the carrier (DPD, Post, freight forwarder, etc.), the purchase contract is deemed fulfilled and the risk passes to you. Our goods are carefully packed and must be checked immediately upon arrival. In the event of any damage in transit, Robert Rieffel AG must be informed without delay. Without immediate notification of the damage, no liability can be accepted.

11. Returns

We credit goods in stock that are in perfect, undamaged condition and are returned within 14 days. Goods ordered specially for you cannot be returned or exchanged. The costs for goods inspection and missing original packaging, as well as our shipping costs, will be charged.

12. Payment

Payment is made, at your choice, by invoice, credit card or cash. You are only entitled to set off if your counterclaims have been finally established by a court, are undisputed or have been acknowledged by us in writing. You may only exercise a right of retention insofar as the claims arise from the same contractual relationship.

13. Payment terms

30 days net; from day 61, default interest of 8% is charged.

14. Retention of title

The delivered goods remain the property of Robert Rieffel AG until paid in full.

15. Warranty

The warranty is governed by the statutory provisions.

16. Data protection

Robert Rieffel AG treats the customer data stored in the course of order processing as confidential. Data is processed in accordance with the data protection act. Robert Rieffel AG undertakes not to make personal customer data accessible to third parties without prior agreement.

17. Place of jurisdiction

These GTC and the contracts concluded on the basis of these GTC are governed exclusively by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Zurich – Wallisellen.
